Melissa began her freelance writing career in 2001 in an effort to raise her family while still bringing in an income.

Her journey was put into motion by writing and submitting articles to print magazines, and fortunately, the long wait time that is traditional with print publications forced her to turn her attention to the Internet.

In 2006 she secured a place within a large Internet content company who catered to a vast range of clients that included Hotels.com and Expedia.com. However, after several months of grueling work hours, she quit her job and started her own business in an attempt to break the chains of a J-O-B.

Over the next few years Melissa’s content/copywriting business grew by leaps and bounds; the effects of her work led to returning clients, word-of-mouth referrals, and shining testimonials. Currently she dedicates her time teaching online entrepreneurs how to build a solid, profitable, and long-lasting business.

The result of 8 years of experience with content and business has taught her one valuable lesson – content has the power to lure in your market and get them to eagerly spend their hard earned cash like nothing else!

In 1999, Wendy started “playing around” with making her own graphics. She began making her very first website using an online website builder, the program had ready made graphics but Wendy wasn’t very happy with how they looked, so that is when she started using Paint Shop Pro and another program called PrintShop. Wendy really enjoyed making her own graphics and have done most of them herself over the years when she had the time.

In 2003, Wendy upgraded to a more professional program called Adobe Photoshop and started learning how to use it through experimenting and reading books purchased specifically for the program. She continued to make her own graphics and her skills have continued to improve, but in 2007 she wanted to make her own ecover and decided to give it a try. Wendy really enjoyed the process and with over 9 years of “tinkering” with graphic design, and extensive Internet marketing experience, she decided to start GeteCovers.com.

Wendy continues to broaden her skills through various tutorials and is currently working on earning her Master’s certificate in graphic design through Sessions Online School of Design based in New York, NY.
